Spreading Cheer Across Tacoma’s North End.
Supported and endorsed by the North End Neighborhood Council, ‘Holiday Windows’ is bringing cheer across Tacoma’s North End through a neighborhood ‘advent calendar,’ where a total of 24 residents and businesses have decorated their windows in celebration of the season.
Each day, between December 1-24, a new beautifully decorated window will be revealed at 6PM across Tacoma’s North End. The ‘Holiday Windows’ will remain revealed and up until December 31st, 2025!
December 24th
Our twenty-fourth and final ‘Holiday Window’ takes us to the McKeown home located at 821 N Anderson St, Tacoma, WA 98406. This Holiday Window features to lovable cartoon characters many of us know. Phineas and Ferb are, as always, causing their big sister Candace to try and bust them for their highjinks…while Agent P (Perry the Platypus) watches the chaos happen.

December 23rd
Our twenty-third ‘Holiday Window’ brings us to 601 S Pine St, Tacoma, WA 98405. Once you arrive, you’ll find yourself in front of Tacoma’s Spanky Burger & Brew in the sixth avenue business district. This business is decorated with snowmen and hamburgers…and of course a friendly blue whale adorned with Santa’s Christmas cap!

Our twenty-second ‘Holiday Window’ finds us at 4106 N 30th St, WA 98407. This wonderful Holiday Window features none other than Calvin and Hobbes! You’ll see these cherished two having a great day sledding, while snowmen are deep in frozen thoughts about how they got there and what comes next!

Our twenty first ‘Holiday Window’ takes us to 608 N. Ainsworth Ave., WA 98406. At this beautiful home, you might recognize Santa and his reindeer guiding his sleigh to the rooftop of the iconic Stadium Castle! Also, on reveal night, our wonderful hosts will have blue and yellow (Stadium colors) candy canes out for everyone to enjoy! Stop by!

Our twentieth ‘Holiday Window’ brings us to 2501 N Warner, WA 98406. When you arrive at Madeline’s home you’ll be greeted by a series of humble Christmas stars. These stars, in fact, have been created with love by her elementary students. Colored and shaded with care for Christmas.

Our nineteenth ‘Holiday Window’ finds us at 3007 N 12th St, WA 98406. The Corys’ ‘Welcome you to Whoville’ where you’ll be greeted by three beautifully painted Holiday Windows, featuring Cindy-Lou Who, Max the dog, the famous Christmas tree, but luckily no Grinch in sight!

Our eighteenth ‘Holiday Window’ finds us at 1229 N Fife St, Tacoma, WA 98406. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by none other than a Christmas monkey crafted by Elena! This mischievous little fella slyly works to sneak away with one of the presents.

Our seventeenth ‘Holiday Window’ is found at the home located at 2510 N Warner St, Tacoma, WA 98406. This “Holiday Window’ depicts the manger scene, sharing the story of the birth of Jesus Christ, including Mary, Joseph, the Christmas star, angels, the three wise men, and a camel. This ‘stained glass’ is illuminated from behind, providing a dazzling spectacle of colorful delight. Merry Christmas from the Staves!

Our sixteenth ‘Holiday Window’ brings us to 811 N Oakes St, Tacoma, WA 98406. Cats Fizz and Quetzi are aurora-chasing in the far north, where they’ve discovered a cozy cabin nestled beneath the shimmering winter sky. The Icelandic Yulecat returns for an encore, wrapped in a festive wreath and ready for holiday mischief.

Our fifteenth ‘Holiday Window’ brings us to 2510 N 10th St, Tacoma, WA 98406. Bathed in candlelight and framed by the Star of Bethlehem, Cathy and Jeremy’s window traces the journey of the three wise men toward a humble stable, where hope was born and light entered the world.

December 14th
Our fourteenth ‘Holiday Window’ finds us at 1408 N Oakes St, Tacoma, WA 98406. This year a trail of packages has been delivered from the skies above courtesy of a long standing Air Force mission. Operation Christmas Drop began in 1952 and continues to this day. Based out of Anderson Air Force Base in Guam, it’s an annual humanitarian airlift operation that delivers supplies to remote Pacific island communities. It serves as a training mission for the U.S. Air Force for low level precision air drop and often includes supplies such as fishing equipment, rice, school supplies, clothing and toys. Our window shows the C-130 airplane dropping cargo via parachute and the packages are floating down into our front yard.

Our thirteenth ‘Holiday Window’ brings us to 3802 N 26th St, Tacoma, WA 98407, home to Edward Jones Investments in the Proctor Business District. This festive display features the Christmas Express, a cheerful train painted across the window, with a green engine led by a bear conductor and a red cargo car filled with wrapped gifts and a giraffe toy. Additionally, holly leaves and berries add a seasonal touch. It’s a joyful reminder that the holiday season is full of wonder, movement, and surprise – just like a train bound for Christmas cheer.

Our twelfth ‘Holiday Window’ finds us at 811 N Anderson St, Tacoma, WA 98406. This Holiday Window is entitled “I’m a Big Dill” and the Ryans are helping us celebrate the Christmas Pickle! Aside from being delicious and nutritious YEAR-ROUND, the humble pickle is extra magical around Christmastime. You never know where you’ll find one! The Christmas Pickle IS a big dill, and wants you to know that YOU’RE a big dill too!

Our eleventh ‘Holiday Window’ brings us to 3019 N 12th St, Tacoma, WA 98406. The amazing Holiday Window “Christmas Gone to the Dogs” captures the spirit of the season with a nostalgic red truck carrying three playful puppies peeking out the window, ready for a holiday adventure. A vibrant green wreath with a purple bow hangs proudly on the truck’s door, while a cheerful red cardinal perches atop, adding a touch of nature’s charm. Overhead, a golden star and blue bell twinkle with holiday magic. Painted by Dave McCord, this scene blends whimsy, warmth, and tradition, perfect for bringing smiles to passersby and celebrating the joy of community this Christmas.

Our tenth ‘Holiday Window’ finds us at 811 N Alder St, Tacoma, WA 98406. “Happy Wreath-mas” brings classic Christmas charm to life with hand-painted wreaths adorning the windows, each one featuring bold red bows, golden stars, and brush-stroked greenery that glows with seasonal cheer. Outside, a joyful crew of inflatables adds to the merriment: Santa waves from the rooftop, a penguin and cow don festive hats, and a gingerbread man in a red sweater stands proudly beside a decorated tree. Garland wraps the porch and mailbox, tying it all together in a warm, welcoming display that wishes every passerby a very Merry Christmas. House number 811 has truly embraced the spirit of the season with creativity and heart.

Our ninth ‘Holiday Window’ brings us to 1102 N 5th St, Tacoma, WA 98403. Hand-painted and trimmed with clusters of holly, this three-panel holiday window shines with the theme JOY. Visible from the K Street side of the house, it’s a bright reminder to look for small sparks of happiness. The Boone-Robinson family chose JOY because, in a time of national and global division, the simple things —a favorite book, good friends, a delicious meal — matter more than ever. Joy is still here. Sometimes we just have to look for it.

Our eighth ‘Holiday Window’ finds us at the Fisher’s home at 2915 N 10th St, Tacoma, WA 98406. When you arrive you’ll be greeted by A Merry Mariner’s Christmas, which is a spirited display built by the Fishers and their friends. This year’s window was a true team effort to support the Mariners and their amazing season! Relive some Sodo Mojo at this Holiday Window, complete with a guest appearance by Matilda Munoz. Our seventh ‘Holiday Window’ brings us to Tacoma’s North Slope Neighborhood and specifically 616 N Cushman St, Tacoma, WA 98403. When you arrive at the Sullivan home, you’ll be welcomed by a delightful display of Holiday Windows created by Reilly and inspired by A Charlie Brown Christmas. Charles Schulz’s beloved characters gather around the humble little tree – including Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Schroeder, Sally, and of course…Linus, who reminds all of us of the true meaning of Christmas. Luke 2:8-14.

Our fifth ‘Holiday Window’ brings us to the Staves found at 3720 N 15th St, Tacoma, WA 98406. Greg, Kirstin, and the kids bring Star Wars holiday cheer to life with their “Happy Hoth-idays” window, featuring an AT-AT from The Empire Strikes Back. A Snowspeeder cleverly wraps the AT-AT’s legs in glowing Christmas lights, toppling the giant walker so the holiday‑spirited Rebel Alliance can triumph with joy.
